Internal Wall Insulation
Reduce heat loss and improve the comfort of your home with interior wall insulation
Grant funded Internal Wall Insulation
Approximately 40% of heat is lost through the external walls of your property. Solid wall homes are especially vulnerable to this due to their design and construction methods. If your home was built before 1920, it likely has solid walls. Properties with solid wall construction include those built using brick, stone, steel frame or concrete construction methods are likely to benefit from internal wall insulation.
How does Internal Wall Insulation work?

Newly insulated homes retain a lot more heat, so you can ease off on the heating and see the monetary savings stack up without compromising the warmth and comfort of your home. According to the Energy Saving Trust, you can expect to see savings of around £450 on your annual heating bills with internal wall insulation.

Internal wall insulation insulates your solid-walled home from within by fixing insulated plasterboards to the interior face of your property’s external walls. Once affixed to existing walls, the insulated plasterboards are skimmed with plaster and add an additional layer to your existing wall.

When professionally installed, internal wall insulation helps prevent heat from escaping through walls which keeps your home warmer for longer and reduces the cost of heating your home. Improving the thermal performance of your property by up to 40%.
Our Installation Process
At SYSTM Surveying Ltd, we’ve helped many UK households to more efficiently heat their home, reduce their energy consumption, and step out of fuel poverty. Our professional team of installers employ the latest insulation materials and methods to insulate solid walls efficiently and to the highest standard, with the minimum amount of disruption possible.

We prepare the existing internal wall surface by treating any damp and removing loose wall coverings. Insulated plasterboard is then fixed to the old plaster wall with adhesive and fixings for additional hold. The insulated plasterboards are then skimmed with plaster and the skirting boards, electrical sockets and switches are reinstated. On completion of the project, we will then ensure the space is thoroughly cleaned.
The time required for the installation will depend on room size.
At SYSTM Surveying Ltd, we’ll provide you with a detailed, no-obligation assessment of your home with our recommendations. Giving you all the information including cost estimates (if applicable), so you can make an informed decision.

Free Internal Wall Insulation Grants
As part of the Government’s ECO scheme, the full cost of your new interior wall insulation could be covered by a home insulation grant. The scheme helps properties built without insulation or with poor insulation reduce home heating bills and minimise their carbon footprint. The scheme is free to apply to and applications are open to everyone, claiming benefits or otherwise.
